Netflix To Release Genndy Tartakovsky’s "Fixed"

The 2D animated film is set to release this August

Hello my Musties! It has been sometime since I’ve watched a Genndy Tartakovsky project. If you are unfamiliar with that name, no worries, Tartakovsky is not as popular as directors like Pete Docter and Hayao Miyazaki but nonetheless influential in the animation industry. If you enjoyed Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars (not to be confused with Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and Primal you have experienced the magnificence that is Genndy Tartakovsky.

According to CartoonBrew dot com Netflix has decided to release “Fixed” this year which was supposed to be released by Warner Brothers. This is a great win for Tartakovsky, the animation industry, and for 2D animated feature films! Because before this year and the release of “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie”, the last major release of a 2D animated film in the United States, that I watched, was 2023’s “Robot Dreams” and before that Disney’s 2009 film “The Princess and the Frog”.

The synopsis provided by Deadline is:

Starring Adam Devine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, and more, Fixed tells the story of Bull, an average, all-around good dog who discovers he’s going to be neutered in the morning. As the gravity of this life-altering event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last adventure with his pack of best friends as these are the last 24 hours with his balls!
