D23 Trailers

There were huge announcements at last Friday night's Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23, we have you covered! Here are the links to the trailers everyone's talking about:

X-Men cast, release date revealed at D23

This new cast looks amazing and it will be cool to see young fresh faces for these iconic comic book characters done properly in Kevin Feige's MCU. I am very excited about Samara Weaving, Christopher Abbott, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Now in hindsight, the actor from Sinners, Jayme Lawson would've been a great pick for Storm but there has been great success with Broadway actors in the past so I think this will be exciting! And I'm just glad that we have Storm involved in this initial cast announcement in the first place. Especially after the Blade project got canceled by Marvel earlier this summer. The X-Men Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will hit theaters on May 5, 2028.

Star Wars: Starfighter first look

Directed by Shawn Levy the film is about a pilot named Kade played by Ryan Gosling. Kade is a guy from the wrong side of the galaxy, whose fate is intertwined with the fastest starfighter ever built. Be prepared to watch this movie in theaters May 28, 2027.

I am wondering when they will release an official trailer for this movie because it is set to release in less than a year. The fact that there was not a trailer released at the D23 makes me a little nervous that post production is not going very well and that they have had to do re-shoots but that is just pure speculation on my part.

In the end, I trust Shawn Levy as a director and I'm excited for this project. I was hoping for more of a Rogue Squadron kind of story but as long as we get Star Wars + Top Gun Maverick vibes then this will be a success.
